Golf buggy battery: Why change for Lithium Batteries?
 
CANDeLeC offers a full range of Lithium Iron Phosphate (LiFePO4) batteries for all Golf Buggies (customized possible, from 6kWh to 12kWh and more).
 
Battery voltage
 
Most Golf Buggies are equipped with Deep Discharge Lead-acid batteries and have a displayed voltage of 12V.
The term deep dump can mislead many people.
It is believed that this battery can be unloaded completely, but in fact it is the reserve of amperage which is deep. This type of battery can be seriously damaged by a deep discharge.
At a use of 50% discharge these batteries can have a lifespan of up to 1000 cycles, but if this discharge is pushed to 100% the cycles lifespan drops to 500 cycles.
 
With our Lithium batteries the voltage stays from 12V up to 100% full discharge for >2000 cycles.
 
Battery lifespan
 
Our Lithium batteries have a lifespan of over 2000 cycles (charge / discharge), more then 2 to 4 times higher than lead-acid batteries.
 
Battery size
 
Our Lithium batteries are lighter and have a smaller size than lead acid batteries.
They are therefore adaptable on almost all golf buggies.
 
Battery capacity
 
The capacity of a battery is expressed in Ampere Time: Ah.
As most buggies are working in 48V, it will be necessary to mount 4 batteries in parallel.
 
The higher the capacity in Ah, the longer your golf buggy will work.

Lithium Iron Phosphate (LiFePO4)
 
This new technology is fully compatible with the original charger of your golf buggy due to a nominal voltage close to your lead-acid battery. CANDeLeC Lithium Iron Phosphate batteries can replace your original lead batteries without any further modifications.
LiFePO4 batteries have the following advantages:
 
- Lighter for your buggy: LiFePO4 CANDeLeC batteries are three times lighter than lead acid batteries.
- Fast charging: LiFePO4 CANDeLeC batteries accept a very fast charge, they can be charged within 15 to 30 minutes, depending on the power of your charger.
- Unmatched life: LiFePO4 CANDeLeC batteries have more than 2000 cycles, 2 to 4 times more than lead-acid batteries.
